NYC: 2010 NY NIGHTLIFE AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED
The winners of the 2010 Nightlife Awards were announced, as were yet more special guest stars who will both perform and present the winners to the audience on Monday, January 25th at 7:00 pm at
THE TOWN HALL (123 West 43rd Street, NYC - 212-997-1929 - ). The winners are:
Outstanding Cabaret Vocalist In A Major Engagement: Christine Ebersole
Outstanding Cabaret Duo/Group In A Major Engagement: Michael Feinstein & Cheyenne Jackson
Outstanding Cabaret Vocalist (Tie): Baby Jane Dexter, Johnny Rodgers
Outstanding Cabaret Comedy/Characterization: Gretchen Reinhagen
Outstanding Cabaret Duo/Group: Eric Comstock & Barbara Fasano
Outstanding Piano Bar Entertainer: Anne Steele
Outstanding Jazz Vocalist In A Major Engagement: Kurt Elling
Outstanding Jazz Vocalist: Sheila Jordan
Outstanding Jazz Soloist: Hank Jones
Outstanding Jazz Combo: Bad Plus
Outstanding Comedian In A Major Engagement: Louis CK
Outstanding Comedian: John Mulaney
Outstanding Comic Duo/Group: Slovin And Allen
Among the winners that have already committed to perform in the show are Christine Ebersole, Cheyenne Jackson, Johnny Rodgers, Gretchen Reinhagen, Anne Steele, Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano. Many of the winners, as soon as they are reached, will be joining the cast, as well.
Performing in support of these Nightlife Award-winners, and presenting winners to the audience, will be former multiple Nightlife Award winners John Pizzarelli & Jessica Molaskey. They join the previously announced performers/presenters Nellie McKay, Tovah Feldshuh, James Barbour, Jim Caruso, Howard Fishman, Martin Vidnovic, and Noah Racey and the NY Tap Ensemble. Hosting the Nightlife Awards for the second time in its eight year history will be the Emmy Award-winning Bruce Vilanch. The show will be directed by Scott Thompson with music direction by Tedd Firth.
