*** CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE SUPER PICK ***
Famed vocalist Jane Olivor brings her new holiday show to RRAZZ ROOM at THE HOTEL NIKKO (222 Mason Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-394-1189 - http://www.therrazzroom.com/ ) from Thursday through Sunday, December 4th through 7th at 8:00 pm (Sunday show at 7:00 pm). The show will feature Jane's hit songs, holiday specials and new material.
Born in Brooklyn, Jane was originally compared to Barbra Streisand, but quickly made her own name, playing in clubs in New York and beyond. Jane Olivor eased her way into the burgeoning New York City cabaret scene in the early 1970s. She appeared at Reno Sweeney, where she was discovered by Clive Davis, then president of the Columbia Records label. Olivor quickly caught on, playing such venues as Brothers & Sisters and The Ballroom. She became known for her interpretations of famous songs such as "Some Enchanted Evening" and "Come Softly To Me."
Ms. Olivor became internationally recognized when her duet with Johnny Mathis of "The Last Time I Felt Like This," the theme song of the film Same Time, Next Year, was nominated for an Academy Award and Golden Globe award and they sang it live at the Oscar ceremony.
After a long hiatus, Olivor returned to performing in the 1990's and has produced several albums since, bringing her emotional power to the lyrics of every song she sings. This is her second appearance at The Rrazz Room.
Tickets are $47.50 - $55.00.
