MARCUS SIMEONE IS A TROUBADOUR OF LOVE IN "THE HEART"

MARCH IS CABARET MONTH EVENT!
Legendary songwriter/producer Jason Darrow, who discovered Jane Olivor
and produced her two most successful albums for Columbia Records,
presents his newest find, sensational vocalist Marcus Simeone in an
all new show: "The Heart" beginning Sunday, April 6th at 7:00 at THE
METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 -

). The show will return once a month on Sundays through November (there
will be no show in September). Sharing the stage with Marcus will
be respected musical director Barry Levitt leading the band. The show
will mark the debut of "The Heart," a song written by Mr. Darrow and
Stephen Schwartz. Mr. Darrow has worked closely with Gilbert Becaud,
Bette Midler, Johnny Mathis Stephen Schwartz and
Marcus Simeone became a club sensation with his unique,
haunting multi-octave voice and heartfelt interpretations of songs
after his official night club debut at Don't Tell Mama in 2001.
He has since performed locally at The Duplex, Arci's Place, Helen's,
The Encore, and The Laurie Beechman Theater to wide critical acclaim.
Over the last year, when not performing with his band, he has been
touring the country with "Mathis," his acclaimed tribute to one
of the great pop singers of the last 50 years.
Marcus was twice honored by the Manhattan Association
of Cabarets Clubs (MAC) and received the Back Stage Bistro Award
as outstanding vocalist. He has also performed at Town Hall and
Jazz at Lincoln Center as part of the Cabaret Convention on several
occasions. Marcus's extraordinary debut album, "At Last," (Miranda
Music) has been hailed as a major accomplishment in live recordings.
There is a $20 cover plus a $15 minimum.
