ST. LOUIS: CASUAL CABARET PREMIERS AT KRANZBERG ART CENTER

"Casual Cabaret" will make its premier at the new KRANZBERG ART CENTER STUDIO THEATRE (501 North Grand Street, St. Louis, MO - 314-795-8778) on Saturday, August 30th at 8:00 pm (dinner service begins at 6:30 pm). Casual Cabaret joins St. Louis' finest entertainment venues as the newest jewel among the gems that make Grand Center so grand. Now this fun night of cabaret entertainment finds a home in this National Historic District filled with theaters and vaudeville houses going back to the turn of the century. Opening night in the new space features Stellie Siteman and Barbara Parker Helmer, along with some of St. Louis' newest cabaret singers, under the musical direction of Diane Hanisch.

The new Kranzberg Art Center (in the former Woolworth Building in downtown St. Louis) includes two performance spaces, the Black Box theatre and the Studio. The latter will be transformed into a cabaret with table seating for about 80. The building is also home to Big Brothers, Big Sisters and Craft Alliance. Michael Brightman's With Love Catering and Confections will offer a sumptuous appetizer dinner buffet as well as provide beverages and desserts.

Tickets for Casual Cabaret are $20, no minimum food or drink required. Dinner buffet is $20, beverages are additional.
