BADOMI DE CESARE TO CELEBRATE THE CD RELEASE

Singer Badomi De Cesare, will reprise her show, "A Foreign Affair With Badomi De Cesare" at the HELEN'S RESTAURANT, CABARET & PIANO LOUNGE (169 Eighth Avenue, NYC - 212-206-0609 - http://www.helensnyc.com/ ), which she opened to sell-out crowds last March at Danny's and continued at Helen's last summer. In celebration of the release of the CD of the show (soon available at Tower Records, Second Hand Rose and Footlight Records), there will be two performances only: Sunday, April 17th, and Sunday, May 8th, both shows at 9:30 pm. She will be accompanied by seven musicians, including Music Director Joe Kerr, Aaron Boyd, Larry Eagle, Dennis Joseph, Skip Krevens, Bob Mastro and Neal Miner. There will be a $15 Cover Charge and a $15 food and/or drink minimum.

"A Foreign Affair With Badomi De Cesare" features songs about that most foreign of experiences - love, and includes homage to two gals who knew all about love and romance: Marlene Dietrich and Mae West.

Badomi returned to the New York club scene after a twenty-one year absence to Judy's Chelsea, where she opened in the fall of 2001. She has appeared every spring since. Badomi began her career as part of the Charles Ludlum Ridiculous Theatre Company and then Jeff Weiss's El Coyote group. She conceived and starred in a one-woman musical play called "Kiss Me, Kill Me." She played outstanding engagements at The Ballroom and the West Bank Cafe, then was brought to Paris, where she appeared at the Palais DeGlace, and later in Amsterdam at the famed De Ijbreker.
