JANE OLIVOR RETURNS WITH "SAFE RETURN" NEW LIVE CD & DVD

APPEARING IN CONCERT AT NYC'S TOWN HALL ON MAY 1st

Jane Olivor, the famed vocalist whose meteoric rise to prominence took her from small clubs to the stage of Carnegie Hall to the Academy Awards, will return to the national spotlight on April 27th with the release of "Safe Return," her new live CD and concert DVD. The DVD, released by Image Entertainment (NASDAQ: DISK), was produced by Scott Woolley and directed by Kevin Layne; the CD, released by PS Classics, is produced by Tommy Krasker. Ms. Olivor will celebrate the releases with a concert at New York's fabled THE TOWN HALL (123 West 43rd Street, NYC - http://www.the-townhall-nyc.org/ ) on Saturday night, May 1st.

The simultaneous DVD and CD releases mark a triumphant return for Ms. Olivor. Still singing with her trademark rich and supple voice, she vividly revisits her beloved signature songs ("L'Important C'est la Rose," "Some Enchanted Evening," "Stay The Night"), pop standards ("I Got The Sun In The Morning," "How Are Things in Glocca Morra?") and several new songs, including "Safe Return," a poignant new composition she co-wrote for this program. Ms. Olivor also performs a special solo version of "The Last Time I Felt Like This," which she introduced with Johnny Mathis in the 1978 film Same Time Next Year and performed on national television at the Oscars the following year. She also sings songs by John Denver ("Annie's Song"), Neil Diamond ("Brooklyn Roads"), Dan Fogelberg ("Run For The Roses") and her close friend Stephen Schwartz ("The Hardest Part Of Love", "Crowded Island"). This intimate live set was recorded at the Berklee Performing Arts Center in Boston, the site of her first concert album over 20 years ago.

Jane Olivor skyrocketed to national fame in the late 1970s with an intense and heartfelt ballad style that earned her millions of wildly devoted fans and drew comparisons to Barbra Streisand and Edith Piaf. Combining the earthy roots of a folk singer with the wistfulness of a French Chanson balladeer and the dazzling theatricality of a pop diva, her five albums on Columbia Records became best-sellers and critical benchmarks (the first was named "Album of the Year" by Stereo Review). Her sold out concerts around the country led to numerous national TV appearances on programs such as "The Tonight Show" and "The Merv Griffin Show." More achievements, including a PBS special with Charles Aznavour and concert appearances with Burt Bacharach, led to her crowning moment: her performance on the Academy Awards.

Suddenly - at the height of her career - she left it all behind. It began as a brief hiatus, but then stretched into a prolonged absence of ten years when her husband was diagnosed with cancer just a few months after they were married. She had always suffered from crippling stage fright, but her personal issues intensified the feelings, keeping her away from her fans for years. Finally, her self-imposed exile came to an end with a few live performances in the early 90's. These led to bigger concerts and an overwhelmingly positive and encouraging response from her fans. Safe Return is a safe return indeed, shining a new spotlight on Ms. Olivor for a whole new generation of music lovers.

The DVD, which is presented in DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, features an extensive on-camera interview with Ms. Olivor.
