CHRISTINE EBERSOLE & BILLY STRITCH CELEBRATE CD RELEASE AT BIRDLAND

The Winter Season, a series of 7:00 pm Monday night concerts at BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080 - http://www.birdlandjazz.com/ ) featuring top Broadway and cabaret performers, begins on November 8th and 15th featuring CHRISTINE Ebersole and BILLY Stritch. Ms. Ebersole won the 2001 Tony for her star-turn in 42nd Street, then teamed with cast-mate Stritch for a cabaret run at FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 1-212-339-4095 - http://www.feinsteinsattheregency.com/ ) in NYC and THE CINEGRILL at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (7000 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, CA - 323-769-7269 - http://www.cinegrill.com/ ) in Los Angeles. There is a $30 coer, $10 food/drink minimum.

Their BIRDLAND debut celebrates the release of the CD "In Your Dreams," (Ghostlight Label) which is a studio re-creation of the show they have been performing across the country. In the concert, the duo will sing songs from the recording, including "Fine and Dandy," "Surrey With The Fringe On Top," "My Ship," "You're Getting To Be A Habit With Me," and "There's A Boat That's Leavin' Soon For New York."

The Winter Season at Birdland is presented by Jim Caruso, in association with TheaterMania.com, and will also include Alice Ripley (Side Show, Rocky Horror) on November 22nd, the Tony Award-winning composers of Avenue Q Jeff Marx & Robert Lopez (in their first public performance together) on November 29th, Broadway and Cabaret's Karen Mason in her annual Christmas concert on December 13th, Avenue Q star John Tartaglia's Holiday Extravaganza on December 20th, and composer Georgia Stitt in concert with a star-studded cast on December 27th. Other upcoming performances include Stephanie J. Block, Max Von Essen, Natalie Douglas, Peter Eldridge, composers Amanda Green & Tom Kitt and Marcy Heisler & Zina Goldrich. Each concert will be recorded live, to be heard later on TheaterMania.com web radio.

BIRDLAND has been a world-class music room on the Manhattan nightclub scene since 1949. Jazz superstars Sarah Vaughan, Count Basie, Dinah Washington, and more recently Ann Hampton Callaway, Diana Krall, John Pizzarelli and Tito Puente have all performed on the BIRDLAND stage. The room offers top-flight music in a world class setting, good sight lines and acoustics, and a menu featuring award-winning Southern cuisine. Most recently, it's become the home of Jim Caruso's Cast Party, the weekly Monday late night showbiz gathering featuring impromptu performances by the Broadway, jazz and nightclub stars.
