The title song of the new CD is a satiric look at how the changes from global warming might affect the climate. Ms. Burman performed this song to great acclaim at the MAC/ASCAP Songwriters Showcase. On a personal level, she sings about how to handle the changes that come from the breakup of a long term relationship. Always looking at life with a sense of humor, Dottie sings about being an "Indoor Woman" looking for an indoor man. She goes in a different direction with another new song written with composer Rick Cummins, "Serious Love Songs." Also included are songs from her one woman show about one of the biggest transitions in her life, leaving teaching to go into show business. This show, "Five Shows a Day," has Dottie's lyrics with music by Robin Field, never before recorded on CD.

Dottie's previous CD, "I'm in Love With My Computer," was named "One of the Best CDs of 1998" by Barbara and Scott Siegel. Her song "Have a Nice Day" from that album won the "I Can't Get You Out of My Head Award" from Stu Hamstra at Cabaret Hotline Online and was a finalist in the Just Plain Folks Music Awards of 2001. Dottie also is a professional speaker, performing Musical Keynotes With a Musical Message for corporate, educational and community organizations. She is a member of the National Speakers Assciation and a former member of the English faculty of Stuyvesant High School.
