"WELCOME
INSIDE OF ED'S HEAD" NEW CD FROM EDDIE PERFECT

There
is nothing safe about the inside of Ed's Head. There is nothing safe
about Eddie Perfect's songs or performances. However it's safe to
bet that his debut CD "Welcome To The Inside Of Ed's Head" will consolidate
the substantial accolades he has already received for his cabaret
and theatrical performances.
Eddie Perfect
(yes, it's his real name!) is a young Australian actor, singer, pianist,
composer and lyricist who has made quite a name for himself since
graduating from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts
(WAAPA) in 2001. He won a Green Room Award for Best Cabaret as part
of the 2002 Melbourne Fringe Festival with "Cliffhanger - Catch A
Falling Star," wowed the audience at the 2003 Sydney Cabaret Convention
and performed with Jason Robert Brown at the final night concert of
the 2003 Adelaide Cabaret Festival.
"Welcome
to the Inside of Ed's Head" is a new CD featuring 13 of Eddie's songs.
It demonstrates his extraordinary lyrical and compositional talent
(and quirky sense of humour), with material ranging from cabaret,
funk and jazz, through to art song and gospel. His intuitive ability
to match singers¬ voices with his compositions is evident in examples
such as Melissa Langton performing with Eddie in "Don't Wanna Be Down"
or Helen Noonan singing "Choosing A Hat," the title song from her
own cabaret show. Other wonderful guests on the CD include Robyn Arthur,
Lisa Marie Charalambous, Ezekial Ox and Chelsea Plumley.
Eddie's stage
credits include the Australian premiere of Nick Enrights¬ "The Poor
Student," "The Market Cabaret Series," "Marty and Damo are Back in
Town - and so is Eddie" and the title role in "Bat Boy: The Musical"
at CHAPEL OFF CHAPEL in Melbourne, in September 2003.
He has written
songs for numerous artists including Chelsea Plumley, Helen Noonan,
Robyn Arthur and Kate Hoolihan, and his television appearances include
"Bootleg," "MDA," "Blue Heelers," "Channel Seven's Good Friday Appeal"
and "Stingers."
Eddie's new
CD, "Welcome To The Inside Of Ed's Head" (MEM 013) is released through
Middle Eight Music and is available online at http://www.middle8.com/.
