COMBO FIASCO RELEASES THIRD CD - ILLEGAL HARMONIES

Australia's international vocal sensation, Combo Fiasco, have released their eagerly awaited third CD, titled "Illegal Harmonies," recorded live in January 2003 during a sold-out season at the Midsumma Festival in Melbourne.

Following the success of their other albums, "Here" and "Live At The Adelaide Cabaret Festival," the group again presents a CD that features fiendishly clever new musical arrangements and the usual eclectic mix of songs, all with Combo Fiasco' unique close-harmony sound. Moments of great hilarity are contrasted with highly charged, emotional interpretations of the more serious songs.

Celebrating their 10-Year Anniversary in 2003, Combo Fiasco are one of the hottest cabaret acts in the world. When they burst onto the New York cabaret scene they played to packed houses, leading to a performance on the NBC Today show. They were then invited to open the New York Cabaret Convention, the first non-American act ever to be honoured in this way, and were hailed by the critics as the most exciting group to hit the New York cabaret scene in years. They followed this triumphant performance with shows in Manhattan, Washington DC and Miami.

In 1999, Combo Fiasco were nominated for a MAC Award (Manhattan Association of Cabaret) for the Best Vocal Group in New York City. They have toured extensively throughout Australia in cabaret, concerts and festivals, and have appeared on every major TV variety show.

Combo Fiasco's new CD, "Illegal Harmonies" is released through Middle Eight Music and is available at FOOTLIGHT RECORDS (113 East 12th Street, NYC - 1-212-533-1572 - http://www.footlight.com/ ) and online at http://www.middle8.com/ .
