
Amanda
Green's New CD Release In Show at SECOND STAGE

On
March 17, 2003, singer/songwriter Amanda Green releases her multi-artist
disc, "PUT A LITTLE LOVE IN YOUR MOUTH, The Tongue-in-Cheek Songs
of Amanda Green" on By Hook Records. The CD is a live recording of
the sold-out revue of the same name performed at Off Broadway's Second
Stage Theatre and Joe's Pub in New York City. The performance of hilarious,
smart and celebrated lyrics co-stars Ms. Green and many Broadway and
TV stars including Mario Cantone, Jonathan Dokuchitz, Brooks Ashmanskas,
Jessica Molaskey, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Mary Testa, Billy Stritch,
Kim Lindsay Along with the Tom Kitt Band.
To celebrate the CD release,
THE SECOND STAGE THEATER (307 West 43rd Street, NYC - 212-246-4422)
is producing another evening of Amanda's songs, "GREEN PIECE! AMANDA
GREEN & FRIENDS," also on March 17, with the above performers, along
with John Pizzarelli, Norbert Leo Butz, Julia Murney and Amanda's
Mother, Phyllis Newman. A cast party for concert-goers will follow

Amanda Green inherited
her lyrical talents from her father, the legendary Broadway/Hollywood
lyricist Adolph Green. Her musical, "Up The Week Without A Paddle,"
received a 2001 Drama Critic's Circle Award nomination for Best Score,
as well as a Garland Award for Best Score; and "Once Upon A Primetime"
was Critic's Pick in the LA Weekly. She has won 2 MAC (Manhattan Association
of Cabarets & Clubs) Awards (outstanding Musical Comedy Performer
and Outstanding Comedy Song), a Back Stage Magazine Bistro Award (Outstanding
Comedy Song) and the Abe Olman Award for Excellence in Songwriting
from The Songwriter's Hall of Fame.
Amanda's songs have been
performed at Carnegie Hall, The Manhattan Theater Club, Town Hall,
and on Broadway in "Nothing Like A Dame." Her performances have been
cited as Critic's Picks by THE NEW YORK POST, THE DAILY NEWS, TIME
OUT NEW YORK, and BEST OF 2002 by TheaterMania,com and CABARET SCENES.
She has appeared on Broadway in "Wonderful Town" and others, and regularly
writes humorous articles for Playboy Magazine.
