LML Music Proudly Announces the Release of John DePalma's "The Song Is Mine"

It is almost difficult to fathom that John DePalma's CD "The Song Is Mine" was recorded live. DePalma's debut release on LML Music is a stunner with vocal work to rival the best studio albums of the cabaret genre. It starts with the crystal delivery of the title track, a strong opener that was written by DePalma and his musical director James Followell. The songs just get stronger and more infused with the rainbow of colors found inside the voice of this newfound treasure of the New York Scene.

A little Broadway in the Arlen medley moves fluidly through choice tracks of recent pop memory like Alan & Marilyn Bergman's "It Might Be You" and Tom Waits' "Shiver Me Timbers." With such an eclectic choice of material the voice must be strong enough to tie it all together. DePalma's ability to put his unique stamp on each song creates the impression that he's some sort of vocal chameleon. The flawless backing trio supports his every whisper to shout, cry to holler, sight to showstopper. John DePalma is a true singer's singer with the chops and sensitivity to stir emotion in any listener of "The Song Is Mine."

DePalma, a New Jersey born, New York City resident, works at Fordham University and made his cabaret debut with this selection of songs at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmamanyc.com/) in March of 2001. A member of the New York City Gay Men's Chorus, "The Song Is Mine" is his first full-length recording.

This thrilling debut release is available through http://www.LMLmusic.com/ or by visiting any major online record retailer.
