"HERE'S TO THE LADIES" HER TRIBUTE TO THE GREAT LEADING LADIES OF BROADWAY WITH A 45-PIECE ORCHESTRA IN STORES OCTOBER 15

PS CLASSICS, the label that celebrates the heritage of Broadway and American popular song, will release "Here's To The Ladies" (ps-208), the new solo CD from 2-time Tony Award nominee Christine Andreas, on October 15th. Christine will celebrate the CD release with a performance at the THE ALGONQUIN OAK ROOM (59 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-840-6800 - http://www.algonquinhotel.com/) on October 27th at 9:00 pm. The CD was produced by Martin Silvestri with Tommy Krasker serving as executive producer.

"Here's To The Ladies" is the star's deeply personal tribute to the famed leading ladies of Broadway. From exciting showstoppers to soaring ballads, this stunning collection of musical theatre standards represents the glitter and glamour, as well as the heart and soul, of the Great White Way. From Mary Martin ("I'm Flying," "My Heart Belongs to Daddy") to Ethel Merman ("Some People," "They Say It's Wonderful") and from Gertrude Lawrence ("My Ship," "Shall We Dance?") to Barbara Cook ("Will He Like Me?"), "Here's To The Ladies" celebrates the legends of the stage and the songs they introduced. Christine is accompanied by a 45-piece orchestra with arrangements by Doug Besterman (Tony Award winner for The Producers and Thoroughly Modern Millie), Michael Starobin, Chris Boardman, Larry Blank and Lee Musiker.

Christine Andreas first took Broadway by storm as Eliza Doolittle in the 20th-anniversary revival of "My Fair Lady," and subsequently received Tony Award nominations for her work in "Oklahoma!" and "On Your Toes." She last appeared on Broadway when she created the starring role of Marguerite in "The Scarlet Pimpernel." Her other Broadway credits include "Words and Music with Sammy Cahn," Nancy in "Angel Street" with Dina Merrill, Rebecca in "Rags" and Alice in "Legs Diamond," with the late, great Peter Allen. In London's West End, she starred in "The Fields of Ambrosia."

Her television credits include "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," "Another World" and "The Cosby Show." Christine recently made her Carnegie Hall debut in "Carnegie Hall Celebrates Lerner & Loewe." She has performed at the White House, Lincoln Center, Town Hall, with symphony orchestras throughout the country and in some of the finest supper clubs in New York including The Algonquin Hotel's legendary Oak Room and the Cafÿ Carlyle.
