Dane Vannatter Releases
New CD "Double Standards"
at Regattabar, Friday, May 18th

DANE VANNATTER celebrates the release of his new CD, "Double Standards" with two shows on Friday, May 18th at 8:00 and 10:30 PM at the REGATTABAR in the Charles Hotel (One Bennett Street, Cambridge, MA - 617-876-777). This is Vannatter's third studio recording since the release of the 2000 Bistro Award-winning "Flight," an album that The Boston Globe called "a swinging, soaring adventure" and New York's Back Stage Magazine hailed "a thrilling exciting voice with a stunning new CD."

"Double Standards" is a new collection of the swinging and the soulful, ranging from the standards of Rodgers & Hart, Hoagy Carmichael and Stephen Sondheim to the classic R&B tunes known as "The Sound of Philadelphia." "Double Standards" also includes the debut recording of Boston-area songwriter Ellen Ophir's stunning "Paint Me a Leaf."

Vannatter will be accompanied at the Regattabar by the "Double Standards" ensemble: Bill Duffy on piano, David Landoni on bass, George Farrell on drums, John Baboian on guitar and Kenny Wentzel on horns and flute. Special guests from "Double Standards" will include Ricardo Monzon on percussion and backup vocalists Athene Wilson and Jeff Ramsey.

The REGATTABAR is located in The Charles Hotel at Harvard Square, Cambridge. Tickets and information are available by calling Concertix at 617-876-7777. Dane Vannatter's recordings are available at Tower Records in Boston & Cambridge, MA and online at http://www.danevannatter.com/ and at http://www.amazon.com/.
