CD AVAILABLE IN STORES JULY 10

JEROME RECORDS will release the debut CD by Broadway star Stephanie Pope, "Now's the Time to Fall in Love" on July 10th. Her release engagement at THE TRIAD (158 West 72nd Street, NYC) will run for three Mondays: June 18th at 8:00 pm, June 25th at 7:30 pm and July 2nd at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $15. The show features the Daryl Kojak Quartet and direction by Lacy Darryl Phillips.

With "Now's the Time to Fall in Love," Stephanie Pope blends the worlds of Smooth Jazz, R&B and Broadway to bring out the sensual side of the songs from BIG DEAL, Bob Fosse's final Broadway musical. "Big Deal was my Broadway debut and working with the legendary Bob Fosse was one of the greatest experiences of my career," says Ms. Pope. "I wanted to pay tribute to him while putting my own stamp on this material." With contemporary arrangements of standards like "Life Is Just A Bowl of Cherries," "Happy Days Are Here Again" and "Button Up Your Overcoat," past and present meld into a romantic musical treat for any era.

When Ms. Pope made her cabaret debut in 1995, The New York DAILY NEWS said she was "tremendously talented with lovely looks and a sensuous voice." THEATER WEEK called her "lithe, leggy, smart, sassy and beautiful." According to BACK STAGE, she "possesses really great pipes that can go from mellow emotion to playful, lilting jazz and moves with the grace of a panther on the prowl. She is a bright new klieg light on Gotham's nitery scene."

Ms. Pope starred in the Broadway cast of FOSSE for over a year and a half. Previously, she starred as Velma Kelly in the Las Vegas production of CHICAGO with Chita Rivera and Ben Vereen. Her other Broadway credits include City Center Encores!" Ziegfeld Follies of 1936" as Josephine Baker, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" with Nathan Lane, "Kiss of the Spider Woman" as Chita Rivera's standby, "Jelly's Last Jam" with Gregory Hines, "The Will Rogers Follies" and "Sweet Charity." In London's West End, Ms. Pope starred in the original cast of "Smokey Joe's Caf˙." On tour she starred in "Sweet Charity" with Donna McKechnie and regionally she starred in August Wilson's "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom" at the Denver Center, "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" at North Shore Musical Theatre, "The Odyssey" at Arena Stage and "Nine" at Paper Mill Playhouse. Her television credits include "Oz," "One Life to Live" and "The Cosby Mysteries." For more information, please visit http://www.StephaniePope.com/.
