GUY HAINES MAKES SOLO
DEBUT ON FYNSWORTH ALLEY

(Los Angeles) Fynsworth Alley, the new music label helmed by producer Bruce Kimmel, creator of Varese Sarabande's critically-acclaimed Spotlight Series, has announced the release of "Haines His Way," the debut solo album from prolific vocalist Guy Haines.

Haines made his recording debut on the Varese Sarabande album Unsung Musicals. Since then, the former tennis pro has shared the spotlight on innumerable Broadway recordings, including Fynsworth Alley's debut release The Stephen Sondheim Album. With "Haines His Way," the singer offers up an engaging, entertaining album that is all heart. The CD's musical journey takes the listener everywhere from "If I Had My Druthers" (Li'l Abner) to "She Likes Basketball" (Promises, Promises) to Randy Newman's classic "Marie" to "Two Lost Souls" (Damn Yankees); along the way, Haines reveals a complex persona, ranging from hilarious to heartfelt -- and everywhere in between.

An upbeat, winning collection of tunes, "Haines His Way" not only puts Guy Haines squarely in the spotlight; it also finds him harmonizing with a few friends, singing alongside such stellar talent as Alice Ripley, Brent Barrett, and Susan Egan, on several songs. Copies purchased directly from the website also include the track "I'd Love to Sing a Song" (from Everything's Ducky), in which Haines shares vocals with Natalie Toro.

"Haines His Way" is currently available for ordering at Fynsworth Alley's website (www.FynsworthAlley.com). Created by theater lovers for theater lovers in September 2000, Fynsworth Alley offers new releases exclusively on their website for a three-month period. Other releases include "Emily Skinner" (Emily Skinner) and "The Stephen Sondheim Album" (various artists). Fynsworth Alley also produces spoken-word albums, including the Tony Award-winning "Copenhagen," the first in their "Plays on Disc" series.
