AWARD NOMINEE ANN HAMPTON CALLAWAY DEBUTS AT FEINSTEIN'S AT THE
REGENCY

New show "SIGNATURE"
runs from October 16th through November 3rd
FEINSTEIN'S
at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095 - http://www.feinsteinsattheregency.com/)
will present the nightclub return of acclaimed pop and jazz singer
Ann Hampton Callaway from October 16th through November 3rd. She will
be joined by an all-star jazz band featuring special guest pianists
Cyrus Chestnut (October 16th-20th), Benny Greene (October 23rd-27th)
and Kenny Barron (October 30th-November 3rd).
Ms. Callaway's show will
feature selections from her upcoming CD, "Signature," which features
the signature songs of the great jazz legends of the 20th century
including Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday,
Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Mel Torme and Peggy Lee. The CD is
performed with pianist Kenny Barron and guest artists Wynton Marsalis,
Freddy Cole and the New York Voices.
Ann Hampton Callaway is
one of the most widely acclaimed singer/songwriters working in pop
and jazz today. She recently starred in the hit Broadway musical SWING!,
receiving a Tony Award nomination for "Best Featured Actress" and
won the 2000 Theatre World Award for "Outstanding Broadway Debut."
As a songwriter, she is the recipient of ASCAP's Johnny Mercer Songwriting
Award. Ms. Callaway received national attention for her song "A Nanny
Named Fran," which she wrote and performed for the CBS-TV hit "The
Nanny." Her song "At the Same Time" was recorded by Barbra Streisand
for her CD "Higher Ground," which debuted nationally at #1. She has
also written the only original Christmas song on Ms. Streisand's upcoming
CD, "Christmas Memories."
Ms. Callaway has appeared
with Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops at Tanglewood and Carnegie
Hall, with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra at
Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall, and with Skitch Henderson and
the New York Pops.
FEINSTEIN'S AT THE REGENCY
will play the following schedule: Tuesday through Saturday at 8:30
pm with a late show on Friday and Saturday at 11:00 pm. Ticket prices
and food & beverage minimums are as follows: Tuesday through Saturday
8:30 pm shows - $60 cover and $39.50 minimum; Friday and Saturday
11:00 pm late show - $60 cover and $25 minimum. Jackets are suggested,
but not required.
