D.C.
ANDERSON IN NEW HOLIDAY CD RELEASED BY LML MUSIC

LML
Music has announced the release of D.C. Anderson's latest CD, "all
is calm, all is bright." This eclectic offering includes the premiere
recordings of the Stephen Sondheim & Mary Rodgers' song "Christmas
Island At Christmas Time," and Lucy (THE SECRET GARDEN) Simon & Susan
Birkenhead's "Heaven Can't Be Far." Other prominent musical theater
writers whose songs appear on this album are Jule Styne ("Three Wishes
for Christmas" with Stephen Sondheim) and Kander & Ebb ("I'm Gonna
Be An Angel").
This generous offering
of 17 clever and touching songs also includes two songs written by
D.C. himself with co-writer Steven Landau. "Department Stores Mean
Christmas To Me," echoes the sentiments of growing up in an era of
holiday commercialization, and "Hands" is an uplifting song about
creating the spirit of a traditional holiday from scratch. Staying
true to the sentiment of the traditional holiday, D.C. has included
a touching rendition of "Silent Night," followed by a tongue-in-cheek
look at the plight of "Dickens Carolers," those oft-seen "carolers
for hire" who traipse through malls in 19th century garb. Suffice
it to say that there truly is something for everyone in this joyful
and heartwarming collection.
D. C. Anderson, a Theater
Arts graduate of Ohio's Baldwin-Wallace College, made his Broadway
debut in Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. He continues
his association with the THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA in the role of Andre
in the current National Tour. Other National Tours include MARTIN
GUERRE, PIPPIN, and THE LIFE AND ADVENTURES OF NICHOLAS NICKLEBY.
He has done extensive commercial work and also performs his own cabaret
act in New York when he's not on tour. He's been nominated for a Manhattan
Association of Cabarets and Clubs award and has also performed at
Town Hall in New York six times at the Annual Mabel Mercer Foundation's
Cabaret Convention. His home is in Manhattan.
