DAVID PASCUCCI "INSIDE ANDRE PREVIN" ALBUM RELEASE
Singer David Pascucci announces the release of his new
album "Inside Andre Previn" on RichRose Records. "Inside Andre Previn"
is an eclectic collection of songs written by legendary composer/conductor
Andre Previn and former wife Dory Langdon Previn. The album focuses
on songs from the 60s films "Inside Daisy Clover" and "Valley of The
Dolls," plus various film and 'pop' songs the collaborating team wrote
for. An album consisting of a total of 18 songs, David is backed by
a 20 piece orchestra for the first ten songs, and a trio on the remaining
eight.
Highlights on the album are a stunning rendition of
the most popular Previn classic "Theme from Valley of The Dolls" first
made famous by Dionne Warwick; a hard-hitting version of another Previn
classic, "You're Gonna Hear From Me"; a disco/dance arrangement of
"I'll Plant My Own Tree"; and never-before-heard lyrics to the very
haunting theme "Daisy" from "Inside Daisy Clover".
The brilliantly designed packaging is also something
not to be missed. With stunning photos by Brazilian photographer Marcelo
Coelho and design by Peleg Top of Top Design Graphics, running through
the full 16-page booklet are photos of the carousel at the historic
Merry-Go-Round building at the Santa Monica Pier.....the filming location
for "Inside Daisy Clover"!
David presents this virtually unexplored material with
great elegance and respect. It is truly a treat to any Previn fan,
and is a great introduction to those unfamiliar with his songwriting
years of the 60s. An album that is truly unique!!
