OSCAR BROWN JR. TRIBUTE AT THE PLUSH ROOM OCTOBER 29TH
Jazz and cabaret performer Linda Kosut brings her show, "Long As You're Living," a joyous and moving tribute to the late Oscar Brown Jr., to THE EMPIRE PLUSH ROOM at the York Hotel (940 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-885-2800 - http://www.empireplushroom.com/ ) for one night only, Monday October 29th at 8:00 pm. Linda will be backed by pianist/trombonist Max Perkoff and Tom Shader and Paul van Wageningen. She returns to San Francisco after playing to enthusiastic audiences in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.

Kosut's show, "Long As You're Living," is a tribute to Brown and a launch for her CD of many of his songs. Brown was an inspirational and influential composer and playwright who died in 2005 at the age of 78.

Linda Kosut has been performing to steady acclaim on the cabaret scene for several years. Her 2003 debut CD, "Life Is But A Dream," was selected as one of the top female vocalist CDs of the year by Cabaret Hotline Online. She has appeared in clubs in New York, Los Angeles and many San Francisco Bay Area jazz & cabaret venues including the Empire Plush Room, The Purple Onion, the Zingari Lounge at The Donatello Hotel, Cosmopolitan Cafe, Cafe de la Presse, Club Jazz Nouveau and Anna's Jazz Island in Berkeley.

There is a $25 cover charge and a 2-drink minimum.
