SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME WINNER TO SING AT MUSIC CONFERENCE
Annie Dinerman, 2006 Songwriters Hall of Fame award winner, has been
selected to sing in an industry showcase at the 2007 MILLENNIUM MUSIC
CONFERENCE (http://www.musicconference.net/mmc11
) scheduled to take place from February 15th through 18th in Harrisburg,
Pennsylvania. Dinerman will perform her original songs with guitar,
as part of an acoustic set of singer/songwriters at the MIDTOWN SCHOLAR
BOOKSTORE (1519 North Third Street in Harrisburg, PA - 717-236-2665).
Songwriter concerts are often held at this bookstore for a strong local
following. The 2007 showcase will take place on Saturday, February 17th
at 7:30 pm and is open to the public. Admission is free.
Dinerman is also represented by her song, "Single Woman,"
on the 2007 Conference compilation CD. The Compilation CD will be
given to all artists and music business professionals who attend the
Conference. From the hundreds of acts slated to perform throughout
Harrisburg during MMC11, Dinerman is one of only 35 artists selected
for the compilation CD. This will be Annie Dinerman's third song on
a compilation CD.
In December 2006, Dinerman's environmental song, "One
Planet At A Time," was released on 2006 Music To Life, a compilation
CD by The Public Domain Foundation, a project of Noel Paul Stookey
(Peter, Paul and Mary) to salute songs of social concern. The song
is a witty look at the cost to our planet when our tax dollars are
spent in space.
Dinerman's song, "A Perfect Day (Cool Stuff)," was part
of One To Grow On, a 2004 compilation CD released by the Ohio State
Dept. of Drug and Alcohol Addiction Services. The song is a lullaby
sung by a parent and child after spending fun day together. Other
artists on this CD included Jorma Kaukonen (Hot Tuna) and Craig Fuller
(Pure Prairie League).
Dinerman also showcased at the Independent Music Conference
(IMC) in Philadelphia in September 2006.
Annie Dinerman received the Abe Olman Award for Excellence
in Songwriting from Songwriters Hall of Fame in June, 2006.
