Jeanne MacDonald has earned a reputation as one of
NY's finest singers in cabaret today. She is considered an honest
interpreter of the lyric, and her performances both in and out of
NYC have been recognized extensively. A 2007 MAC Award Nominee,
MacDonald received the NY Nightlife and MAC Award for Female Vocalist
in 2004, and earned both a BACK STAGE Bistro Award and MAC Hanson
Award. At the Rose Theater at Jazz at Lincoln Center Jeanne was
presented with the coveted Julie Wilson Award for Cabaret Excellence
in 2005.
While Jeanne appears frequently at some of NYC finest
venues, she first developed her artistry at the celebrated Bradstan
Country Hotel in White Lake, NY where she recorded her CD "Live
at the Bradstan." MacDonald's debut CD "Company," produced and arranged
by her long time musical director/arranger Rick Jensen, received
extensive critical praise as well as a MAC Nomination for Recording
of the Year.
A graduate of the Crane School of Music, MacDonald
originates from Freeport, NY. In addition to her regular performances
in and out of NYC, MacDonald also teaches music to children northwest
of Manhattan, in Orange County, NY.
