NANCY STEARNS WITH RHYME, BUT FOR NO PARTICULAR REASON
Nancy Stearns brings her new show "With Rhyme, But For No Particular
Reason" to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-757-0788
-
http://www.donttellmamanyc.com/
) for one night only on Sunday November 4th at 5:00 pm. As the title
suggests, there is no theme to this show. Rather, it is a collection
of songs, some obscure, others more mainstream and even those are
not heard frequently enough. This show is a benefit for the Center
for Constitutional Rights and a celebration of the release of a CD
based on this show. Musical director is Gregory Toroian and Helen
Baldassare directs.
A regular on the New York City cabaret circuit since
2001, Nancy Stearns has done a variety of theme shows with Gregory
Toroian as music director. In addition to performing at Don't Tell
Mama every year since 2001, Nancy has performed at Roses Turn, The
Encore, and this past summer, she was featured in the Any Wednesday
series at Barnes & Noble/Lincoln Triangle store at 66th & Broadway.
In 2007 she released two CD's that she recorded with
Gregory Toroian on piano and David Finck on bass, "Sing Me A Song
With Social Significance...Or Not" and "The Words of Women."
There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
