CABARET NEWS - NEW YORK CITY

THOMAS HONECK TWO FOR ONE FOR TWO FOR THE ROAD
Award winning Thomas Honeck is preparing to take his cabaret shows "Going On Faith..." and "Dreaming Wide Awake" on the road this spring and is presenting them "back-to-back" on Sunday October 28th at 5:00 & 7:00 pm at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 1-212-255-5438 - http://www.theduplex.com/ ). You can see both shows again for the small donation of $10 to either NMSS (National Multiple Sclerosis Society) or JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Or if you've only have time for one show, bring a friend for the same small donation.

"Going on Faith..." is how it all got started. In 2005, Thomas was nominated for Best Male Debut MAC Award for this show about his personal journey from a place of believing in nothing to finding something to finally to have faith in. There are balloons, clowns, fears, doubts, Shamans and miracles along the way.

"Dreaming Wide Awake" is the follow-up piece, but each show works as a stand-alone piece. In 2007, Thomas was honored with the MAC Award for Special Production for this show that is a personal story about how dreams, both conscious and unconscious, have influenced his "reality" over the last seven years.

Both shows involve entertaining story telling, punctuated by pop tunes and Broadway classics. It's an evening that is guaranteed to make you laugh and, maybe, look at life from a slightly different perspective.

There is a one-drink minimum per person for each show. Proceeds go to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
