MAUREEN KELLEY STEWART SINGS OF HER "HEART'S DESIRE"
Cabaret performer Maureen Kelley Stewart will appear in September
at the THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATER (407 West 42nd Street,

) for three performances of her newest show, "Heart's Desire." The
show will play on Sundays, September 16th & 23rd at 2:00 pm and Thursday,
September 20th at 7:00 pm. The show is a collection of Broadway classics,
standards from the Great American Songbook, and contemporary pop songs.
"Heart's Desire" is directed by Eric Michael Gillett with Musical
Direction/Arrangements by Don Rebic.
Maureen will perform a unique mix of selections from
Charles Strouse, Irving Caesar, Harry Warren, Johnny Mercer, Jason
Patrick Brown, Stephen Sondheim, Noel Coward, Amanda McBroom, Mary
Chapin Carpenter, Richard Maltby & David Shire, Diane Warren, Jerry
Herman, Dave Frishberg and others.
Maureen Kelley Stewart is a graduate of the American
Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and the Eugene O'Neill Theater
Center's Cabaret Symposium. In the last dozen years, she has presented
a number of artfully crafted salutes to iconic American singers
and songwriters, often collaborating with the late Dick Gallagher.
She has appeared at New York's Town Hall for the Mabel Mercer Foundation's
Cabaret Conventions, and the MMF's Hamptons Cabaret Conventions
at Guild Hall (East Hampton, NY) as well as annual performances
at the historic Mohonk Mountain House (New Paltz, NY). Her debut
CD, Seventeen on Mars, is available online through Original Cast
Recordings.
There is a $15 cover charge plus $15 food/drink minimum.
