MODERN MAN TRIO RELEASES THIRD CD - ASSISTED LIVING
The award-winning trio Modern Man, in conjunction with Inverted Turtle
Records will release their third outrageously funny recording, "Assisted
Living," on Wednesday, August 15th, with as special performance at
THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 -

) on that date at 7:30 pm presented by Jamie deRoy & friends. The
new CD features 12 original tracks by David Buskin, Rob Carlson and
George Wurzbach and will include "Folk Music in The Nude," "My Money
and Me Broke Up," and "Your Puppy."
This group that has been described as a cross between
Crosby, Stills & Nash and The Marx Brothers. David Buskin, Rob Carlson
and George Wurzbach are celebrated recording artists, songwriters,
performers and comedians who's clever song parodies have won them
rave reviews and the 2001-2002 Bistro Award for Best Musical Comedy.
David Buskin is a singer/songwriter who has had his
songs recorded by Astrud Gilberto, Judy Collins, Johnny Mathis,
Roberta Flack and Dixie Carter. Acoustic music fans will remember
David as half of "Buskin and Batteau." He is a winner of a Clio
Award for his jingles for Coca Cola, Burger King, NBC and the US
Postal Service. David also helped create the animated children's
show "Generation O" that was seen on the WB Kid's Network. He is
currently working on a play to be directed by Tony Award winner
James Naughton.
Rob Carlson is a writer, producer and comedian. His
first album, "Peaceable Kingdom" was a critical success. Since then,
he has continued to perform and write working out of his own creative
service studio called "The Producers." His song parodies can be
heard on the American Comedy Network, a national syndicater of radio
comedy. Radio listeners will also recognize him from his recent
weekly program as social and political commentator, "Ramblin' Bob."
He is currently working on a new solo album and is close to completing
a novel.
George Wurzbach is an award winning composer, performer
and producer. His songs and arrangements have been performed by
Johnny Cash, Kathy Mattea and Roy Clark. George is the author of
Country Riffs for Piano and operates Rowdy Music, a music scoring
and production studio in Brooklyn. He also teaches music theory,
history and business at Monmouth University.
