Special guest for both performances will be Phil Crosby, Jr. Musical
director is Shelly Markham. A featured guest on The New Jazz Thing
with Vince Outlaw (San Diego Jazz 88.3 FM), Nicole has appeared at
California venues such as the Hollywood Palladium, the 1020 Club at
the Belage Hotel, Tom Rolla's Gardenia, and the Empire Plush Room
in San Francisco, has played to packed houses and has garnered much
support in the theatrical world.
Nicole Dillenberg grew up in New York's Hudson River
Valley, surrounded by talented artists and musicians. A graduate
of USC-School of Cinema and a Perry-Mansfield cabaret fellow, the
actress has studied and performed with the greatest stars in the
cabaret world. A featured guest on The New Jazz Thing with Vince
Outlaw (San Diego Jazz 88.3 FM), Nicole has appeared at California
venues such as the Hollywood Palladium, the 1020 Club at the Belage
Hotel, Tom Rolla's Gardenia, and the Empire Plush Room in San Francisco.
Nicole's 2005 CD release "Just Like Heaven" includes
a breathtaking piano ballad version of the title song by The Cure,
as well as a never-before recorded Johnny Burke/Jimmy Van Heusen
gem, "A Green Love For Walter," which Nicole unearthed on the internet.
Phil Crosby Jr., grandson of the late crooner, lends his chops on
an innovative Cole Porter/X medley. LA's jazz finest played on "Just
Like Heaven", which was arranged by Grammy-nominated pianist, Bill
Cunliffe. Recorded on vintage equipment, "Just Like Heaven" has
received critical acclaim.
Nicole resides in Los Angeles with her husband, writer
and documentary producer John Cork, and their son, Jimmy.
