Stranded in the Moonlight, recently completed a successful run at
THE LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE, which has garnered her the 2006 Nightlife
Award and the praise of audiences and critics alike. On December
31, 2006, Lisa co-hosted a stellar New Year's Eve show at THE BEECHMAN,
ringing in 2007 with her signature humor or breathtaking vocals.
Lisa made her national television debut in a solo vocal performance
on the Emmy Award-winning The Rosie O'Donnell Show, at the insistence
of the show's musical director, John McDaniel.
Ms. Asher is the recipient of a MAC (Manhattan Association
of Clubs & Cabarets) Award for Outstanding Vocalist, as well as
the Back Stage Bistro Award for her solo work in cabarets in New
York. Her critically acclaimed debut CD, Let The Mystery Be, was

and performed in the Off-Broadway hit, Woody Guthrie's American
Song which received a Drama Desk Nomination for Best Musical.
Opened in 1978, The West Bank Cafe was a pioneer of
fine dining on West 42nd Street at a time when Hell's Kitchen still
lived up to its name. The Laurie Beechman Theatre, opened in the
early 1980s, stages plays and hosts events nightly. Among the myriad
of performers who have graced the stage of The Beechman: The Who,
Broadway's Alison Fraser, Karen Mason and Warren Leight, Lewis Black
(the theatre's former Playwright-in-Residence), Howard Stern, Dreamgirls
composer Henry Krieger and many others. The restaurant's regulars
have included Tennessee Williams, Arthur Miller and Bruce Willis.
Currently, the elegant boite and theatre are favorites of a host
of New York's most prominent personalities.
