Triumphant Baby, starring Lorinda Lisitza and featuring the original
music of Joe Iconis and Robert Maddock will be back at THE METROPOLITAN

) on Wednesday, January 10th at 8:00 pm. The show is a celebration
featuring the music of Joe Iconis and Robert Maddock, recent graduates
of Tisch NYU Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program with direction
by Brad Oscar.
Lorinda Lisitza has performed in the Off-Broadway
shows Mother Courage (title role), The Threepenny Opera, Berlin
to Broadway with Kurt Weill and in the York Theatre's Musicals in
Mufti series. At The Town Hall she has appeared in The Broadway
by the Year series, the Musicals of 1968 and in Once in a Weill.
Ms. Lisitza has also appeared in concert at the Symphony Space Wall
to Wall series, BAM cafe and the Neue Galerie. For her 2002 cabaret
debut, she won a MAC, a Back Stage Bistro, the Theatermania.com
"Female Debut" and was named one of the Top Ten shows of the year
by CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.
Joe Iconis & Robert Maddock (Musical Director/composer
& lyrics) received the 2006 Daryl Roth Award for Plastic! The Musical
(music by Joe Iconis and Reza Jacobs, lyrics by Robert Maddock).
Joe Iconis is also the recipient of a 2006 Jonathan Larson Foundation
Grant. His garage band rock musical The Black Suits, (for which
he wrote the music & lyrics and co-wrote the book with Robert Maddock)
has been optioned and is currently being developed by MCC. They
were invited to be a part of the 2006 NAMT songwriter showcase and
will be a part of Bound for Broadway VII, a showcase for new talent,
on November 27th at the Merkin Concert Hall.
Brad Oscar (Director) made his New York directing
debut with the acclaimed Broadway by the Year series, The Musicals
of 1968. Oscar created the role of Franz Liebkind in the Broadway
production of The Producers, eventually taking over the role of
Max, which he has played more than 1,100 times. He also appeared
on Broadway in the musical Jekyll & Hyde and starred in the Arena
Stage revivals of Cabaret and Damn Yankees.
Tickets are $20 plus a 2 drink minimum.
