JUDY ROBERTS PRESENTS SANTA BABIES IN TUCSON
Chicago pianist-singer Judy Roberts and saxophonist Greg Fishman join
Tucson singer-songwriterÊÊMarilyn Harris in "Santa Babies," a holiday
concert at THE STEINWAY PIANO GALLERY (2850 East Speedway Boulevard,
Tucson, AZ - 520-325-9797 - http://www.spgtucson.com/
) on Thursday, DecemberÊ20th at 7:00 pm. Repertoire will include Judy's
special arrangements of such holiday standards as "Let It Snow," "Christmastime
Is Here" and her tribute to Arizona, "Winter Wonderland/Desert Wonderland".Ê
Marilyn will debut four of her Christmas songs for Tucson audiences,
as well as harmonizing with Judy and Greg on swinging versions of the
classic holiday songs everyone loves. Reservations are required - a
$15 donation is suggested.
Famous for the past two decades as "Chicago's Favorite Jazz Woman",
Judy is best known for herÊhard-swinging piano playing, her ability
to combine lush and sensitive vocals with rapid-fire scat singing, and
for her unique ability to communicate with her audience in a relaxed
and intimate style.ÊJudy's husband Greg Fishman has established himself
as a dynamic tenor saxophonist and flutist, and is regarded as one of
the top jazz educators in the country. ÊThe couple is relocating to
Arizona this fall.ÊÊ
The Steinway Piano Gallery of Tucson is supplying the world famous Steinway
Piano for this event.
