TRIO PRESENTS "BECAUSE I KNEW YOU" AT THE GARDENIA
"Because I Knew You" featuring Anthony Gruppuso, Keri Kelsey and Douglas
Trudeau will be performed at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard,
West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444 - http://www.cabaretwest.org/gardenia.htm
) on Friday & Saturday February 23rd & 24th at 9:00 pm. The show is
a musical journey that explores the lives of three college friends who
reflect on college life, love, marriage, divorce and children. Distance
and time have tested their friendship, but no matter where or when they
get together, they always pick up right where they left off. After twenty
plus years this bond has never been broken. Musical director is Richard
Berent.
Anthony Gruppuso-was last seen in "Urinetown" with John
Rubenstein. Most reacently he was a principal performer on the "Megan
Mullally Show." Having spent most of last summer playing Grumpy in
"Disney's Snow White an Enchanting Musical" Anthony can now say he
has performed in Cabaret venues from coast to coast haveing also appeared
at Don't Tell Mama in NYC, Davenport's in Chicago and now the Gardina
in LA.
Keri Kelsey is a native of Louisville Kentucky and her
Cabaret career is off to a flying start following reacent shows at
the renowned Cinegrill, Masquers Cabart, and the Gardina. She has
also performed at the famous Plush Room in San Francisco, and Danny's
in New York. The versitle Ms. Kelsey has worked as an actress and
literary agent.
Douglas Trudeau is the founder and director of the Show
Stopper Organization. During its 15 year history Showstoppers has
performed throughout the United States, going as far south as Florida,
and as far west as Coloradoand in every New England state. It's most
successful show to date was its critically acclaimed production of
"Forever Plaid" first seen at the Barker Tavern in 1995. Other critaclly
acclaimed shows have been "Singing in the Rain", I Love You You're
Perfect Now Change", "Those Fabulous Fourties" and "Anything Goes".
There is a $15 cover and a 2 drink minimum
(no minimum if ordering dinner)
