FRIENDSHIP CELEBRATION CONCERT IN CHICAGO
Medical Insurance is expensive, and much more expensive for performers who work free lance. Usually any medical coverage they can afford only covers a portion of their expenses, leaving a large amount to be paid "out of pocket." Chicago performer Mark Burnell's recent hospital stay incurred extensive costs and his fellow performers are holding a special benefit on Sunday, January 28th at ANDY'S JAZZ (11 East Hubbard Street, Chicago IL - 312-642-6805 - http://www.andysjazzclub.com/) from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on his behalf. The result is 2 hours of nonstop entertainment featuring over twenty of Chicago's top jazz and cabaret artists.

Performers who will appear (subject to change) are Anne & Mark Burnell, The John Burnett Orchestra, Nan Mason, MaryMonica Thomas, Gail Becker, Heather Moran, Jimmy Odom, Daryl Nitz and George Howe, with Bob Ojeda (trumpet), Pete Szjewski (drums), Glenn DeMichele (bass), Dave Berger (guitar), Dean Rolando (piano) Terry Higgins (saxophone) plus other surprise guests, including the Inspirational Choir of Gorham United Methodist Church.

The event is co-produced by Daryl Nitz, Productions USA, and Andy's Jazz Club. Doors open at 1:30 pm.

There is a $20-25 suggested donation.
