CABARET FAVORITE TO MAKE RESCHEDULED APPEARANCE AT RIVERSIDE

) is proud to present as part of its 2006-2007 Cabaret Fest one of Boston's
favorite cabaret performers in a hit one-woman show! Award winning vocalist
and recording artist Jan Peters takes you back to long walks, porch
swings, and first loves in her critically acclaimed cabaret show "Old
Fashioned, Please!" This is a "one night only" event has been rescheduled
to Sunday, March 25th at 3:00 pm. Ms. Peters will be accompanied by
Musical Director Tom LaMark on piano. The original show date was cancelled
due to weather.
Critics have hailed Peters as one of Boston's best cabaret
performers, marking her shows over the years as fresh, edgy, and full
of heart all at once! The Improper Bostonian named Peters the Best
Cabaret Act in 2005 and since her recent move to Pennsylvania, her
fans have longed to have her back in the area to perform Old Fashioned,
Please!
Debuting in 2000, Old Fashioned, Please! was named one
of Boston's Top Ten Cabaret Shows by Bay Windows Cabaret Year in Review.
Updated for 2007, this funny, touching cabaret features an exciting
collection of songs from The Great American Songbook and Broadway
stage celebrating the simple, carefree, bygone days of yesterday.
Jan Peters was the recipient of Improper Bostonian's
Best Cabaret Act 2005, IRNE Award Winner Best Female Cabaret Artist
2002, Bay Windows Best Cabaret Performer 2002. Her recent performances
include The Mabel Mercer 21st Anniversary Celebration at New York's
Lincoln Center and The Cultural Center Theater in Port Charlotte,
Florida. Past Riverside Theatre Works performances include Beyond
Broadway!, the award-winning cabaret show co-starring John O'Neil
(EdgeBoston.com Best of 2006), and Kander and Ebb's And the World
Goes 'Round.
