RUSS LORENSON RELEASES DEBUT CD AT THE EMPIRE PLUSH ROOM

RL Productions and LML Music celebrate the release of Russ Lorenson's debut CD, "A Little Travelin' Music," with a CD Release Party and Show at THE EMPIRE PLUSH ROOM at the York Hotel (940 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-885-2800 - http://www.empireplushroom.com/ ) on Monday, May 1st at 7:30 pm. Special guest performers will include Kristopher McDowell and fellow LML recording artist Shawn Ryan.

Backed by the Kelly Park Jazz Quartet, Russ will perform selections from the CD, as well as give a preview of his new cabaret show, "Benedetto / Blessed," a salute to the life and music of Tony Bennett, set to premiere this summer. Russ Lorenson's debut CD, to be publicly released on May 9, 2006 on the LML Music label, features songs from his acclaimed cabaret show of the same name, and includes duets with special guests Shawn Ryan and Klea Blackhurst. The cabaret show was also taped for public television and will be broadcast to coincide with the launch of the CD.

Lorenson will embark on a 15-city tour beginning in August 2006, promoting the CD and bringing his shows to audiences throughout the US.
