JOAN CROWE IS IRREVERENT
AT IRIDIUM ROOM ON JANUARY 14th
The dynamic, funny, and
often irreverent performer Joan Crowe explores the lighter side of
jazz on Saturday, January 14th at 7:00 pm at IRIDIUM JAZZ CLUB (1650
Broadway, NYC - 212-582-2121 - http://www.iridiumjazzclub.com/).
Joan Crowe started her musical career in cabaret winning the 2002
MAC Award, but caught the jazz bug pretty fast when she opened for
Joe Lovano that very same year.
She performs regularly with her band, High Society Rhythm, including
performances at The Rainbow Room, The Oak Room in Grand Prospect Hall,
The Carnegie Club, Trumpets Jazz Club, The Manor, Rockland Center
for the Arts, The Emelin Theatre, Archie's Place, The Plaza Hotel,
Creole's, Don't Tell Mama, Brunelli's, Danny's Skylight Room, The
Duplex, Judy's Chelsea, The Cinegrill in Los Angeles, Odettes', the
ASCAP songwriters' showcase, and the Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention
at Town Hall.
Joining Miss Crowe will be Tedd Firth on piano, Kelly Friesen on bass,
Quintin Gallemore on drums, (and a surprise guest).
Tickets are $15. Call for minimum information.
