STORMY WEATHER BENEFIT TO ASSIST NEW ORLEANS MUSICIANS
More than 24 of San Francisco's finest jazz and cabaret artists will come together for "Stormy Weather: From the Bay to the Bayou," a benefit to raise money and awareness for the Bay Area's Don't Stop the Music Foundation, a newly formed non-profit that has pledged to bring up to 100 New Orleans-based musicians who were displaced by the recent hurricanes to San Francisco. Produced by Tin Pan Alley Productions, the event will take place on Wednesday, October 26th starting at 6:30 pm at THE JULIA MORGAN BALLROOM (465 California Street, San Francisco, CA - TKTS: 415-923-1452 or http://www.tinpanalley.org/ ).

Masters of Ceremonies are Christopher Caen, Donna Sachet and Janet Reilly. Performers scheduled to appear include Benn Bacot, Jason Emanuel Britton, Bill Bunn, Connie Champagne, Bill Cooper, Debbie de Coudreaux, Terese Genecco, Rita Glassman, Lua Hadar, Kathy Holly and the Uptown Singers, Erich Hunt & Abstract Truth, Randy Johnson & The Muskrat Amblers, Terri Kelly, Veronica Klaus, Barry Lloyd, Russ Lorenson, Bud E. Luv, John McCullough, Kim Nalley, Denise Perrier, Bruce Phillips, Donna Sachet, Bob Sarlatte, Shirley Smallwood, Steve Snelling, Carole Stuart, Nancy Tierney, Zydeko Flames and surprises.

There will be a Live Auction with Television Star Tim Gaskin 9:30 pm, with a silent auction from 7:30 to 10:30 pm. Inspired by local musicians and club owners, the Don't Stop the Music Foundation has pledged to assist New Orleans musicians in continuing their livelihoods until they can go back home. The non-profit foundation will help provide much needed infrastructure for these musicians including supporting them in finding temporary accommodations, food, instruments, transportation, medical and other assistance.

Fine Cocktails and food provided by Global Gourmet Catering and Best Beverage.

Tickets: $50-$100-$150-Table 0f Ten-$1500.
