LINDA KOSUT WEARS HER OWN KIND OF HAT IN NYC RETURN
Linda Kosut's solo tour, "My Own Kind of Hat!" makes a stop at THE
ENCORE (266 West 47th Street, NYC - 212-221-3960 -
http://www.theencorenyc.com/
) with performances scheduled for Monday & Wednesday, October 24th
26th at 7:00 pm.
Twenty-some years ago, Linda Kosut appeared in her cabaret debut at
New York's Jan Wallman's in the Village. Now she is celebrating, not
only the personal journey that led her out of New York and into San
Francisco, but all the stops and starts along the way. Through an
eclectic mix of songs from jazz standards to folk-rock to bluegrass;
by songwriters as diverse as Tom Waits, Iris Dement, Stevie Wonder,
John Bucchino, and Dorothy Fields, to name a few, Linda combines her
love of the lyric with her ability to tell the tale with strong emotional
connection and humor.
Linda is joined by Max Perkoff, musical director, pianist and trombone
man with Brian Fishler on drums and Daniel Fabricant on bass.
There is a $15 cover, $12 food/drink minimum.
