Rock's shows, which have been playing in New York
City for five years, have been recommended by the New York Post,
Time Out New York and the New York Press. Rock's three shows ("Rock
1," "Rock 2" and "American Rock") were created by some of the finest
talents working in the fields of comedy, music and theatre, including
award-winning director and writer Stephen Rosenfield, and award-winning
composer and musical director, the late Dick Gallagher. Stephen
Rosenfield has directed at The Roundabout Theatre, The Ensemble
Studio Theatre, The Actor's Studio and is the Director of the American
Comedy Institute.
Dick Gallagher composed the music for the hit Off-Broadway
show, "When Pigs Fly." As a musical director, Gallagher worked
with singers including Patti Lupone and received eight MAC Awards
for musical direction.
In the new show - directed by Stephen Rosenfield
- Albers presents his signature comedy pieces about "I Love Lucy,"
the Supreme Court, the Berenstain Bears and the Oscars, as well
as makes his case to save "The Bunny Hop" from oblivion. In addition
to singing his most popular comedy songs, Rock will introduce
new comedy parody songs about Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and
Oprah Winfrey. A comedy piano duet with his musical director for
the show, Ray Fellman, will climax the show.
Ray Fellman, an accomplished classical pianist
and opera singer, who has performed at Carnegie Hall, is a graduate
of Indiana University's prestigious School of Music. As a musical
director, he has worked with many singers including Brandon Cutrell
who received the 2005 MAC Award for Best Male Singer.
