SPECIFIC OVERTURES is his exploration of life's "stepping off points"
- moments of trust and reaching out that are integral to the human
experiences of friendship, love and faith. The songlist runs the gamut
from Broadway to The Beatles, from Tin Pan Alley to Top 40 - with
songs by: Lee Adams, Burt Bacharach, Leonard Bernstein, Leslie Bricusse,
Cy Coleman, Hal David, The Ditty Bops, Arthur Freed, Adam Guettel,
Barry Harman, Jerry Herman, Keith Herrmann, John Lennon, Kirsty MacColl,
Paul McCartney, Anthony Newley, Harry Nilsson, Charles Strouse, Harry
Warren, David Yazbek and (as the title suggests), a song or so by
Stephen Sondheim.
Mr. Phillips has appeared in nightclubs from Honolulu to London. His
leading man charm and glorious voice have made him a New York cabaret
favorite, while his artistry has established him as one of the industry's
most respected male vocalists.
Miles is teamed again with award winning Musical Director and composer
Jason Wynn.
There is a $15 cover, $12 food/drink minimum.
