CABARET NEWS - NEW YORK CITY

A MUSICAL REVUE OF LOVE "ON THE BOARDS" SUNDAYS THROUGH DECEMBER
Max Weintraub & Thoroughbred Records will present BROADWAY Æ OUR WAY! A MUSICAL REVUE OF LOVE "ON THE BOARDS" at HELEN'S RESTAURANT, CABARET & PIANO LOUNGE (169 Eighth Avenue, NYC - 212-206-0609 - http://www.helensnyc.com/ ) opening on Sunday, October 30th at 7:00 pm and running Sunday nights through December at 7:00 pm.

Conceived and Directed by Bill Daugherty the show features Mr. Daugherty, Meyer deLeeuw, Christina Morrell and Connie Pachl. In this four-person revue of "boy meets woman & woman meets man & girl meets boy & man meets boy," infatuations are sparked, realities are faced and relationships are cemented. With no patter or dialogue, the cast cleverly examines the dynamics of how a wishful misinterpretation can often lead love down a shaky path. Using songs from some of Broadway (and Off-Broadway's) most beloved shows as well as some real hidden gems of the theater, this group of performers will present an evening of fun and passion under the skillful musical direction of Doyle Newmyer.

Loving tribute is paid to a huge cross-section of musical legends and contemporary writers including Rodgers & Hart, Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, Cy Coleman, Frank Loesser, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Lerner & Loewe, Jerry Herman, Noel Coward, Charles Strouse, Bob Merrill, Maltby & Shire, Stephen Schwartz, David Yazbek, Ahrens & Flaherty and many others.

There is a $15 cover, $15 food/drink minimum.
