BROADWAY UNDER THE STARS FUNDRAISER SUNDAY NOVEMBER 6th
The Camino Real Playhouse in San Juan Capistrano, CA is pleased to announce
their plans to expand into the new Capistrano Center for the Performing
Arts. After 15 years as an intimate theater serving the community of
San Juan Capistrano, this small theater is ready to expand its space
and programs to better serve the arts community of the Capistrano Valley
area.
To kick-off their fundraising efforts for the proposed
$3.5 Million performing arts center they will present "Broadway Under
the Stars" on Sunday November 6th at the FRANCISCAN GARDENS (31815
Camino Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano, CA - TKTS: 949-489-8082).
The event will be an evening of dining and music featuring performers
direct from the Broadway Stage, starring numerous singers and dancers
who have appeared on Broadway in the casts of Les Miserables, Phantom
of the Opera, Rent, The Lion King, Grease, Into the Woods, and Miss
Saigon. Starring will be Cable Ace Award Nominee Armelia McQueen and
former Miss America 1998 Kate Shindle. Co-Starring are Christa Jackson
(Grease on Broadway / Eva Peron in Evita across the US and Asia),
Adam Wylie (child star of TV's Picket Fences and the 2002 revival
of Broadway's Into the Woods) and Paul Ainsley (starred as King Herrod
in the original 1972 Broadway production of Jesus Christ Superstar.)
Tickets for Broadway Under the Stars are $75 in advance/$100

New York City veteran performer Michael Wallot, who was recently named
the new Artistic Director of the Camino Real Playhouse. Earlier this
year Wallot directed the Broadway All-Star Benefit for the Red Cross
in New York City.
