DARYL SHERMAN IS RAISIN' THE ROOF AT LAUDERDALE HOUSE
Direct from her Waldorf Astoria perch at Cole Porter's Steinway, New
York premiere New York cabaret singer/pianist Daryl Sherman returns
to the UK for her annual tour. She will be performing on Sunday, November
6th at 8:00 pm at LAUDERDALE HOUSE (Highgate Hill, Waterlow Park, North
London, ENGLAND - 020 8348 8716). Ms. Sherman has performed at Lincoln
Center's Rose Hall with Wynton Marsalis and also for the Mabel Mercer
Cabaret Convention (winner of the "Cabaret Classic" award). In the UK
she's a favorite at Pizza On The Park, and jazz festivals in Edinburgh,
Brecon and Cork with a fistful of CDs and regular BBC interviews.
"Raisin' The Roof" combines a swinging centennial tribute
to famed lyricist Dorothy Fields (Sunny Side Of The Street, I Can't
Give You Anything But Love) with a potpourri of treasures from Richard
Rodgers and Duke Ellington to Noel Coward. Supported by all-star US
guitarist Jon Wheatley and London favorite, Simon Woolf on bass, Daryl
Sherman paints a variety of colors in this delightful intimate setting.
