ENDA MARKEY PRESENTS HOME THOUGHTS FROM ABROAD
Enda Markey moved to Australia from his native Ireland in 2002, leaving behind a successful career in musical theatre and cabaret. Since his arrival, he has been successful in establishing his place as a leading player on the cabaret circuit here. His shows have played to sell-out audiences and rave reviews all around Australia.

Now, for the first time, Enda looks to his Irish heritage for the inspiration for his new show, which plays at @NEWTOWN (52 Enmore Road, Sydney, AUS - 02 9550 3666 - http://www.atnewtown.com.au/ ) on Thursday, December 1st at 7:30 pm, following a sell-out and critically acclaimed premiere in Melbourne. The show, HOME THOUGHTS FROM ABROAD features Musical Direction by Darren Kuilenburg and Enda's special guest Belinda Lemon, best known for her enormously successful Bette Midler tribute show "Outrageously Divine."

In the show Enda will share stories about his homeland that are sometimes moving and often hilarious. Enda also shares his experiences of setting up home in Australia and the cultural differences between the two countries. Enda's repertoire will include traditional Irish songs that are known the world over such as Danny Boy, She Moved Through The Fair and Galway Bay. He will also perform contemporary songs by writers such as Burt Bacharach, Stephen Sondheim and Peter Allen.

Tickets: $27, $22.
