Janet Villas in "It Might as Well be Spring"

Janet Villas will celebrate spring at the OAKESIDE MANSION at the OAKESIDE BLOOMFIELD CULTURAL CENTER (240 Belleville Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ - 973-429-0960) on Sunday May 16th at 3:00 pm with her show "It Might as Well be Spring." Janet Villas will sing about Spring and Mother's Day with favorites the whole family can enjoy! Joining her will be Neil Ginsberg, composer and pianist. Tickets for the event are $5.00 and light refreshments will be served. Reservations are requested. This performance is sponsored by the Bloomfield Cultural Commission.

Ms Villas has been performing her cabaret shows for many years and has performed at Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center twice, as well as DonĒt Tell Mama's and the Ballroom in New York City, First Night Summit and First Night Manasquan and many others. Ms Villas is a soprano soloist at Christ Church in Bloomfield and Glen Ridge, and resides in Bloomfield. Neil Ginsberg is a composer, pianist and teacher, with music currently being performed off-Broadway.

Ms Villas may be an opera singer, but she started singing in summer theatre in New Jersey. She has performed with most of the opera companies in the tri-state area. She has also been a regular anthem singer for the NY Mets and NJ Devils. She is currently appearing in Turandot at New York City Opera.
