TATHAM RETURNS TO THE DUPLEX
Joanne
Tatham returns to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street,
NYC - 1-212-255-5438 - http://www.theduplex.com/
) with a new show, "Chester," featuring the music of Jimmy Van Heusen
on Tuesday, June 22nd at 9:00 pm, Wednesday, June 23rd at 9:00 pm,
and Thursday, June 24th at 7:00 pm. The title of the new show, "Chester,"
refers to Mr. Van Heusen's given name, the name by which his great
friend Frank Sinatra, for whom he wrote dozens of hit songs, affectionately
referred to him. Musical Direction is by Ross Patterson, based on
arrangements by Shelly Markham, and the show is directed by Ron Cohn.
$12 cover charge, 2-drink minimum. 2-for-1 cover for members

Ms. Tatham
made her New York cabaret debut at The Duplex in November 2003, after
having established a thriving cabaret career in Los Angeles two years
before. West coast appearances have included The Cinegrill, The Gardenia
and The Baked Potato in Los Angeles and The Plush Room in San Francisco.
Her debut CD, Making Light, is in rotation on Southern California
radio stations.
A former
New York stage actress, Ms. Tatham is a founding member of LA's Academy
Repertory Company of the Academy for New Musical Theatre, a sister
workshop of New York's Lehman Engel/BMI Musical Theatre Workshop,
where she actively participates in the development of new musical
theatre works in collaboration with ANMT writers. New York audiences
will also see Ms. Tatham this October at The Town Hall as part of
the Mabel Mercer Foundation's Annual Cabaret Convention.
