NIGHT STORIES AND "THE CUT"

The
Storefront has announced plans for the fourth installment of FRIDAY
NIGHT STORIES at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street,
NYC - 1-212-255-5438 - http://www.theduplex.com/
). On Friday, October 29th, Phil Geoffrey Bond's play, THE CUT, will
be featured. The series strives to theatricalize short works of fiction,
with a cast of singers and actors. The performance will begin at 9:30
pm. Ray Fellman will serve as Musical Director. The play is directed
by the author. There is an $8 cover, ($5
for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE), as well as a 2-drink
minimum.
Included in the cast of THE CUT are a myriad of performers
from the Storefront's repertory company. Among the cast: Lisa Asher,
Phil Geoffrey Bond, Nick Cearley, Brandon Cutrell, Sarajean Devenport,
Baby Jane Dexter, Julie Reyburn and David Sabella.
THE CUT is the story of a thirty year friendship between
a hairstylist in a small midwestern town, and his favorite client.
Written in 2000, the play has never before been heard. Included in
the evening will be music by composers including Craig Carnelia, Bob
Dylan, Brian Lasser, Mike Reid and Allen Shamblin, and Tom Waits.
