Spencer Celebrates May with an Encore

Rebecca
Spencer has announced a May series of encore performances of her critically
acclaimed debut cabaret concert, Wide Awake and Dreaming. Rebecca
will return to MAMA ROSE'S (219 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-533-0558

) on Tuesday, May 4th at 9:30 pm, Thursday, May 6th at 7:00 pm, Friday,
May 7th at 7:00 pm and Sunday, May 9th at 4:00 pm. The cover charge
is $17.50 ($10 for MAC and CABARET
HOTLINE ONLINE members) with a 2-drink minimum.
Ms. Spencer
was honored last month with a 2004 Back Stage Bistro Award for Outstanding
Excellence in Cabaret for her recording of the same name. The award
was presented at a private party at La Belle Epoque in New York City,
hosted by the famed industry magazine.
On Sunday,
May 2nd at 7:30 pm Ms. Spencer will return to THE CABARET at Odette's
(South River Road, New Hope, PA - 215-862-3000 - http://www.bobegan.net/Odettes.html).
The cover charge is $17.50 with a $10 food/drink minimum.
Wide Awake
and Dreaming was a completely self-produced debut recording for Ms.
Spencer, who served as the Executive Producer, and as Co-Producer
with pianist and musical director Philip Fortenberry. Manfred Knoop
was the Engineer. Upon completion of the recording in the studio,
the CD was picked up by the LML Music label and is now distributed
nationwide by Allegro Music. In New York City the recording is currently
featured at Tower Records in Lincoln Square, Footlight Records and
Colony Records.
