He will begin his annual spring engagement at the clon on May 4th through June 26th, and then return for his final regular engagement on October 12th through New Year's Eve, December 31st.

Mr. Short has been performing at THE CAFE CARLYLE five nights a week, with two shows on Friday & Saturday nights, for about 20 weeks each year, and has very nearly becone a NY landmark in his own right. The ninth of 10 children from Danville, IL, Mr. Short was a self-taught piano prodigy who began performing in local saloons when he was 10 years old.

Mr. Short suffered a fall last year when visiting Los Angeles, and was hospitalized briefly, and diagnosed and treated for neuropathy. Except for the use of a cane, he appears to have recovered completely.
