SARAJEAN DEVENPORT DEBUTS IN I'M SO SMALL

Sarajean Devenport will make her cabaret debut with her show I'M SO SMALL at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 1-212-255-5438 - http://www.theduplex.com/ ) on Thursdays, October 7th, 14th, 21th and 28th at 7:00 pm. The show features an eclectic and sometimes obscure array of music. The show's Director is Brandon Cutrell and Musical Director is Ray Fellman. I'M SO SMALL will include special guests Michael Holland & Karen Mack (October 7), Craig Rubano (October 14), David Gurland & Julie Reyburn (October 21) and Scott Coulter (October 28). There is a $10 cover, as well as a 2-drink minimum. $5 cover for members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.

Song choices include Clare Cooper's "Cosmo and Manhattan," Merle Haggard's "Tonight the Bottle Let Me Down," Michael John Lachiusa's "Safe," and Johnny Mercer's "Autumn Leaves."Other songwriters featured include Jason Robert Brown, Dave Matthews, and Fleming Mcwilliams/John Mark Painter of Fleming and John.

A native of San Jose, California, Sarajean Devenport received her formal training at the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music where she received a BFA in Musical Theatre. Most recently, Sarajean has performed at the St. Louis Muny, Kansas City Starlight and American Musical Theatre of San Jose. Other regional credits include Gloria Thorpe in DAMN YANKEES, Oolie in CITY OF ANGELS, Shelby in STEEL MAGNOLIAS, The Lead Ronette in LEADER OF THE PACK, Woman #1 in JACQUES BREL IS ALIVE AND WELL AND LIVING IN PARIS, Mrs. Walker in THE WHO's TOMMY, Muriel McGillicuddy in LET'S FACE IT, and Woman #3 in PERSONALS. Sarajean's portrayal of Little Red Riding Hood in INTO THE WOODS won her the Bay Area Music Theatre Award for BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS.
