NEW CABARET SPACE OPENS IN PHILLY

Doug Anderson is excited to announce the launch of the PHILADELPHIA CABARET THEATRE (507 South 8th Street, Philadelphia, PA - 215-923-0210 - http://www.philly-cabaret-theatre.com/ ), the only cabaret space in Philadelphia dedicated to ongoing cabaret performances. Housed in the Red Room of the historic Society Hill Playhouse, this 99-seat cabaret space is dedicated to solo and group cabaret performances. The room has a stage, pressed tin walls embossed with raised designs, red velvet curtains, theatrical sound and lighting, cabaret tables, and an elevated back row for additional seating.

Anderson, who is creator and Artistic Director of Philadelphia Cabaret Theatre, originated the group to establish a presence for local singers to work. He has spent 12 years singing in New York cabaret clubs and wanted to fill the void Philadelphians felt not having a similar venue. In addition to producing cabarets, Anderson will be presenting original musical shows there, the first being SINATRA REDUX, beginning June 4th. More information about the show and other planned events at the Philadelphia Cabaret Theatre can be found at the website.
